What Is HydraFacial Treatment?
If you’re looking for a unique way to rejuvenate the appearance of your skin, a hydrafacial is a great option to consider. Hydrafacial treatments consist of multiple steps including extracting makeup residue, cellular debris, and dead skin cells that have built up on the surface of the skin.
In addition, hydrafacials help to deliver different serums that are designed to boost your skin’s moisture levels and infuse it with peptides, essential antioxidants, and hyaluronic acid. Following your hydrafacial appointment, your skin will be fresh and glowing! Many patients choose to get hydrafacials on a regular basis to help maintain the results.
Our clinic is located in Edina which is only 10 miles south of Minneapolis. We regularly treat patients who come from the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metro area who are looking for hydrafacial offers and top-quality treatment. Our experts will assess the quality of your skin and determine if you’re a good fit for this procedure.
What Conditions Can HydraFacial Improve?
Hydrafacials offer many different benefits and can improve the following cosmetic concerns:
- Dull skin
- Brown spots
- Clogged pores
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Uneven skin tone
- Skin firmness and elasticity
- Oils that can lead to acne
- Hyperpigmentation
This treatment can also be beneficial for those who want to treat cosmetic flaws before an event such as a wedding, family gathering, birthday, anniversary, etc. Ideally, you’ll schedule the appointment one week in advance for your skin to be at its best.
How Does HydraFacial Work and What to Expect from the Procedure
Like any skincare treatment, it’s important that our team approaches hydrafacials with a tailored approach for each patient as everyone’s skin is unique. For example, your skin might be particularly dry or oily, or a combination of both. Your skin type will dictate the treatment that we provide. Rest assured that all of our hydrafacials at the Metropolitan Skin Clinic are performed by our specialists.
The treatment itself is slotted for 45 minutes and usually involves the following steps:
- Step 1: We’ll first apply a serum to get rid of the top layer of damaged skin cells followed by an alpha hydroxy acid peel, a gentle way to avoid skin irritation that’s often linked with more intense peels. This gentle peel also helps prepare your skin for the rest of the treatment.
- Step 2: We’ll address congested pores with the hydrafacial treatment wand. It uses a vortex-like motion to get rid of impurities from your pores and helps moisturize the skin.
- Step 3: Another peptide-rich serum helps to lock in the results and give protection.
